About Sara

Fantasy has captivated me since high school, when I first discovered the Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, followed by Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar Saga. Ever since, I've been drawn to stories of adventure, mystery, danger, and discovery.

Today, I write hope-filled fantasy adventures where darkness is real, hope is hard won, and ordinary people discover extraordinary courage.

Although I now call the hills of West Virginia home, I spent much of my life between the Appalachian Mountains and the tidal waters of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay. Some of my favorite childhood memories were spent on the water with my grandfather, whose lifelong love of sailing gave me an appreciation for life on the water. The contrast between rugged mountain landscapes and the rhythms of the Bay continues to shape the worlds I create.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and our English Springer Spaniel, Strider, or dreaming up my next adventure.

My hope is that every story leaves readers turning pages late into the night—and closing the final chapter believing that hope is always worth fighting for.

Darkness is real. Hope is stronger.

I'd love to hear from you!
